As of June 1st, 2005, we have 40% of our support thanks to the Lord and churches just like yours who have taken us on for monthly support. The goodness of God and those that He uses to fulfill His will never cease to amaze me.
Monica has recovered well from the miscarriage. We just received the final results from the doctor this week and all tests reported a full recovery. Thank you all for your prayers during this time.
Our second daughter, Faith, got saved on April 22nd, during our home church’s mission conference. She had been praying for several months about being saved. She has expressed the assurance of her salvation the past couple of weeks. On May 22nd, I was privileged to baptize two of my own children. Hope had accepted the Lord while we were in St. Lucia, but had not yet been baptized. I praise the Lord that He has chosen to deal with my children at a young age. Please pray for our youngest child, Ethan, who has not yet come to the age of accountability, that he will also be tender to the Lord at a young age.
As many of you know, we have been working on our family CD. We finished it last month and have a good supply ready to send out. If anyone would like to get one, please contact me at: 678-562-2155, or
(e-mail) Nathan@EvangelismWithoutBorders.com . We are not professionals and don’t claim to be either. However, the Lord has blessed our family with musical talents, and we hope that we can be a blessing and encouragement to others.
I do have a prayer request that I would like to share. Sometime in mid-May, we (the whole Brock family) were at Wal-Mart and had the opportunity to witness to a man from Cuba named Michael. He was a lawyer in Cuba. After years of education, he realized that the laws he helped to uphold did not allow him freedom. So eight years ago he left Cuba in a raft. His first attempt took on water and sank. The Cuban government captured him on his second attempt, and he spent three years in prison. As soon as he was released, he tried again and was successful. After five days on a raft, the United States Coast Guard picked him up. It took sixteen days in the hospital to recover from the journey. When he regained his health, he filed papers to become a legal alien and started applying for a job. “I worked two and three jobs for five years,” Michael said. “I lived on one check and saved everything else. I went to NO parties, no drinking, no fun, so I could get my family to America when I could become a United States citizen”. Michael now has his family with him here in the States, and they all live a happy free life. The first one to tell Michael of Jesus was a Mormon. Michael does not believe that the Mormons have the only answer. He believes that as long as he believes in God and tries to love Him and does good, he will get to Heaven. Here is a man that risks everything for worldly freedom, only to have a cult tell him their way of spiritual freedom. We have seen Michael once more since then and have given him some literature to read. Please pray that God will deal with his heart. “Lord, please help us to find the next Michael so that we can give him the truth.”
